Product Description
This PDO Murcia al Vino cheese is crafted from pasteurized milk of Murcian goats and is characterised by its unique maturation process, during which it is bathed in red wine. This gives the rind its distinctive burgundy colour while the interior remains soft, creamy, and bright white.
Aged for approximately 45 days, it offers a smooth, elastic texture and a delicate flavour that is mildly sweet with a tangy finish. The wine wash provides a subtle fruity note that complements the natural flavours of the goat’s milk.
Murcia al Vino pairs beautifully with fruits and nuts, and is also an excellent addition to salads and appetizers.
Ingredients
Pasteurized goat’s milk (Origin: Spain), salt, hardener: calcium chloride, rennet, cheese cultures, preservative: lysozyme (egg derivative), natamycin (only on rind), potassium sorbate (only on rind), red wine (only on rind).
Contains no artificial colours or preservatives (beyond those listed on the rind).
Recommended Use
Serve at room temperature to fully appreciate its flavour and texture.
Enjoy with fruits and nuts or add to salads and appetizers.
Storage
Once opened, keep refrigerated at 2–6°C (36–43°F).
Wrap the cheese in parchment or cheese paper and place it in an airtight container.
Consume within 3–4 weeks for optimal taste and quality.
